I’m pretty stoked to watch this movie actually. I have never really watch the rest of the Hanniabal movies, but I remember one or a few more scenes in the movie, Silence of the Lambs.

It was ok I guess. Maybe for the fact that I was still in primary school when I watched the movie, did the movie had an influence on me. A little.

Honestly, this is the reason why I so badly want to watch Hannibal Rising.

Shia LaBeouf: The Early Days

I’ve just watched Eagle Eye. I have to tell you that it is most definitely worth it even if you’re paying the most expensive movie ticket. Shia LaBeouf is all grown up now.

He was barely 21 when this guy made the jackpot in Hollywood. Now 4 consecutive successes in Hollywood. Disturbia, Transformers, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, and now, Eagle Eye. But one still have to kept in mind that before he was the leading man, he was more of a side kick or he had smaller roles in other films.

Remember that butt-naked fella in  Bobby or that wanna-be hero sidekick in  Constantine. Even there was I, Robot and Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle? And before that, there was that Disney Channel Movie, Holes and he was even in Dumb and Dumberer. Now, doesn’t that young boy ring a bell in your head? Mind you, there were plenty more of films that he did and they were good.

But whenever I watch him in these movies, I could never forget the image of Louis Steven out of my head. No matter what kind of movie it was or whatever character he was portraying, there was still humour that I recognised and I could still picture Louis.

I bet this was the role that he got noticed for before he carried on to bigger with movies but with smaller roles. It took a lot of hard work with baby steps before he got to where he is today.

Anyway, even before 13-year-old Shia did the Even Steven Show on Disney Channel, I thought that I showed you guys something interesting while I was re-watching one of my favourite shows, Freaks and Geeks.

Part 1:

Part 2:

So young and he would never know what was coming for him.

An American Crime

As per usual, I’ve immersed into Hollywood for films that would entertain me during the holidays. I thought maybe a good Ellen Page movie would be able to do the job. And from there is where I came across of such a heinous crime film.

Based on a true crime case happened in 1965. The brutal beatings on 16 year-old Sylvia Likens.

Sylvia was left together with her sister under the care of Gertrude Baniszewski since her parents were busy with their work in the carnival.

I wouldn’t want to give away too much but I’ll just say that her stay with the Baniszewski family was not a pleasant one.

What was much more worse was that not even did the woman abused her, she even allowed her children to do so. So-called ‘teaching Sylvia lesson’ for the misdeeds that she has been accused of.

The picture shown on the left is the real-life Sylvia Likens.

The movie depicts the courtroom drama about Sylvia’s murder. Though it was rather accurate it still did not tell the WHOLE story. I was curious and I wanted to know more about the case.

This article is the closest I could find about the murder of Sylvia Likens. It is sad to know that people still choose to ignore the obvious untill the damage done would be too late.

Why So Serious?

Have not been showing some love for my blog for the last couple of days. Come on, Aishah… Ok, will try my best.

I won’t be blogging about my personal life but more about random stuff. Anything that just captured my interest. At the same time, I’ll just be ‘playing’ around the features wordpress offers. So if you see anything weird on the blog, I’m just experimenting of how it will look like.

Mr. Ledger gave a great performance in the Dark Knight. I was really creeped with his maniac laughing, the greasy hair and then there’s the voice. It was hard to picture him with this voice without the make-up. It was high-pitched and some times taunting. I guess, that should complete the character and the portrayal of the Joker from the comics.

Which Joker would you prefer by the way? The 1989 Jack Nicholson portrayal of a ‘cleaner’ cut version or Heath’s creepy ambience as he appears on screen?
