Looking Forward To…

The last few posts I’ve made have been ’emo-teen-depressing’ type. Totally the route that I’ve always avoided when I made a blog for myself. Oh wells. I am a teenager. Then, how about this time round I post something happy now?

Aidilfitri is not till tomorrow and I’m not sure if I’m relieved about it. Am totally looking forward to meeting my relatives when they come over. Hope I’ll learn more on my mum’s side, seeing that my family is on the other side of the island.

So I’ve noticed myself to be more outspoken and well, I guess you could say ‘bubbly’? Its more to make sure that whatever that happens between me and you doesn’t get awkward and that we’re comfortable around each other. 🙂 Am still be looking forward to meeting the cousins. There’s so much to catch up on….

On the other note (here goes my emo teen rantings), I’ve just realised I’ll be biting off more than I can chew for my upcoming school semester. Sure I’ll have classes only once a week, yet, I still find myself being greedy. Already planning to work part-time during that semester. So while earning extra do’, of course I’ll take up driving. Driving lessons. Have yet to find a private instructor. And then there’s FYP. Major stuff going there since it counts as a grade by itself. Plus there’s the IG matters since everyone is falling out one by one and I’ll have to pick up where we left out with the help of good friends. I don’t think I’ll make it through without them. Lastly, there’s also the reason why I set up this wordpress account the first place. Twilight Singapore. I love what I do there but I’m just worried that I can’t commit at that period of time.

You know what, I shouldn’t be complaining now. I was suppose to write something much more jovial. Then, here enters HOLLYWOOD. 🙂 Its that time of the month again for season premieres and new shows! HEHEHEHE…

Street Sharks

I like to reminisce my childhood. Those cool cartoons like the ones above. I can only remember ‘Street Sharks’ and ‘ SWAT Kats’ and many early 90’s cartoons that I think may have made an imprint on me. The rest like ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’, ‘Captain Planet’ and the ORIGINAL ‘Power Rangers’  have definitely made sure that I won’t be forgetting about them anytime soon.

Swat Kats

If you want to brush up or just to look back on 90’s cartoon. Here’s a good one for Street Sharks. I can’t see to find one for SWAT Kats. Sorry. There’s always Wikipedia to save the day! 😉

Shia LaBeouf: The Early Days

I’ve just watched Eagle Eye. I have to tell you that it is most definitely worth it even if you’re paying the most expensive movie ticket. Shia LaBeouf is all grown up now.

He was barely 21 when this guy made the jackpot in Hollywood. Now 4 consecutive successes in Hollywood. Disturbia, Transformers, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, and now, Eagle Eye. But one still have to kept in mind that before he was the leading man, he was more of a side kick or he had smaller roles in other films.

Remember that butt-naked fella in  Bobby or that wanna-be hero sidekick in  Constantine. Even there was I, Robot and Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle? And before that, there was that Disney Channel Movie, Holes and he was even in Dumb and Dumberer. Now, doesn’t that young boy ring a bell in your head? Mind you, there were plenty more of films that he did and they were good.

But whenever I watch him in these movies, I could never forget the image of Louis Steven out of my head. No matter what kind of movie it was or whatever character he was portraying, there was still humour that I recognised and I could still picture Louis.

I bet this was the role that he got noticed for before he carried on to bigger with movies but with smaller roles. It took a lot of hard work with baby steps before he got to where he is today.

Anyway, even before 13-year-old Shia did the Even Steven Show on Disney Channel, I thought that I showed you guys something interesting while I was re-watching one of my favourite shows, Freaks and Geeks.

Part 1:

Part 2:

So young and he would never know what was coming for him.

As you guys have already noticed, I am a HUGE entertainment freak. SO, here is a list of shows that I am watching or used to watch. Actually, these are the shows that I am spent time with during my holidays. Due to the Writer’s Strike which started last November and lasted for 100 days, many shows were let as cliff hangers, and so a new season was made.

You’ll see in September are where most of my favourite shows have started. There is one new show on the list and I’ll recommend to those who love the supernatural stuff while the rest is just FYI. A few of them has been cancelled but it was certainly worth watching.  I’ll list them according to the dates of their season premiere in the US.

  • Prison Break Season 4 – 1 Sept
  • True Blood (New Show) – 7 Sept (Sunday)

Singapore’s Funniest Family

I should write something more local. Why not something that is original and very successful?

Remember the early 90’s in Singapore, where all the new upcoming local tv shows started showing up like the serious police drama ‘Triple Nine’ or the other family drama ‘Growing Up?

Well, I’ll be blogging more about about Singapore’s favourite family. The “Tan’s” from ‘Under One Roof’! I bet no other local comedy show will ever beat the first-ever local family comedy show. Then again, I’ll give ‘Phua Chu Kang’ the second placing because both were just as good only thing was that ‘Under One Roof’ came first.

I still miss these classic sitcoms. It reminded me so much of my childhood and those trends that happened around that era. GAWD! Just take a look at their clothing. TSK TSK TSK. And the language… Only a Singaporean can understand what they’re talking about. 😉 I shan’t blog more, but i’ll leave you a little reminder of our favourite family sitcom.

Haaa… I remember this sitcom long, long time ago.. I guess its the opening song thats stuck in my head. The couple was so sweet, and now as I watch the series all over again, the guy is actually kind of cute. 😉 Here is the very first episode of how they met. As in, the VERY FIRST TIME.

Okay… I won’t be leaving you guys guessing what happens next… Its not like you didn’t know that they got married in the end. On their FIRST DATE.

Ouh yea. Did I forget to mention I just started my 3 weeks holidays? WOOOPEEE!!!

Ramalama Bang Bang/SexyBack

These few dances just randomly popped in my head on my way to school one day. I guess the song that I was listening to reminded me of them.

Yesh. Both dances are from the same choreographer. None other than Mr. Wade Robson himself. Enjoy!

PS. Happy 43rd Birthday, Singapore! 😀
