Street Sharks

I like to reminisce my childhood. Those cool cartoons like the ones above. I can only remember ‘Street Sharks’ and ‘ SWAT Kats’ and many early 90’s cartoons that I think may have made an imprint on me. The rest like ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’, ‘Captain Planet’ and the ORIGINAL ‘Power Rangers’  have definitely made sure that I won’t be forgetting about them anytime soon.

Swat Kats

If you want to brush up or just to look back on 90’s cartoon. Here’s a good one for Street Sharks. I can’t see to find one for SWAT Kats. Sorry. There’s always Wikipedia to save the day! 😉

Final Fantasy Versus XIII LogoRight. I’m not a HUGE fan of these kind of games. Recently, I have been introduced by a friend about this guy which lead to the game. I noticed that the plot of the game was really interesting. Plus a few things I took note of this Japanese Virtual game.

Sure, many gaming nerds would know what was the game about. For those who know me well enough would probably know the reason of why I am blogging.

Seriously, I thought the plot of the game was interesting. Not to mention its great to look at it. 😉

Here’s an intro to a character, Noctis:

Not forgetting the very cool trailer that came with him.

I’m pretty stoked to watch this movie actually. I have never really watch the rest of the Hanniabal movies, but I remember one or a few more scenes in the movie, Silence of the Lambs.

It was ok I guess. Maybe for the fact that I was still in primary school when I watched the movie, did the movie had an influence on me. A little.

Honestly, this is the reason why I so badly want to watch Hannibal Rising.

Shia LaBeouf: The Early Days

I’ve just watched Eagle Eye. I have to tell you that it is most definitely worth it even if you’re paying the most expensive movie ticket. Shia LaBeouf is all grown up now.

He was barely 21 when this guy made the jackpot in Hollywood. Now 4 consecutive successes in Hollywood. Disturbia, Transformers, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, and now, Eagle Eye. But one still have to kept in mind that before he was the leading man, he was more of a side kick or he had smaller roles in other films.

Remember that butt-naked fella in  Bobby or that wanna-be hero sidekick in  Constantine. Even there was I, Robot and Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle? And before that, there was that Disney Channel Movie, Holes and he was even in Dumb and Dumberer. Now, doesn’t that young boy ring a bell in your head? Mind you, there were plenty more of films that he did and they were good.

But whenever I watch him in these movies, I could never forget the image of Louis Steven out of my head. No matter what kind of movie it was or whatever character he was portraying, there was still humour that I recognised and I could still picture Louis.

I bet this was the role that he got noticed for before he carried on to bigger with movies but with smaller roles. It took a lot of hard work with baby steps before he got to where he is today.

Anyway, even before 13-year-old Shia did the Even Steven Show on Disney Channel, I thought that I showed you guys something interesting while I was re-watching one of my favourite shows, Freaks and Geeks.

Part 1:

Part 2:

So young and he would never know what was coming for him.

Pretty, isn’t she? Believe it or not, this woman does not only have the beauty. Apparently, she has the brains too. She is actually a news anchor from France. Many has said that she is the most prettiest journalist the world has seen on air . But really, do we need to exaggerate? But yea, I most definitely agree that she’s gorgeous.

There are a couple of YouTube videos that you can check her out. And if you see below, I found an image that compiled photos of her reporting the news. Gotta love the outfits. I didn’t know a News Anchor could dress up like that.

Well, I guess it is possible to have both beauty and brains. Here’s my favourite picture of her.

A shout out to Barracuda for introducing me to this lady. 🙂

As you guys have already noticed, I am a HUGE entertainment freak. SO, here is a list of shows that I am watching or used to watch. Actually, these are the shows that I am spent time with during my holidays. A few of them has been cancelled but it was certainly worth watching.  I’ll list them according to the dates of their season premiere in the US.

Singapore’s Funniest Family

I should write something more local. Why not something that is original and very successful?

Remember the early 90’s in Singapore, where all the new upcoming local tv shows started showing up like the serious police drama ‘Triple Nine’ or the other family drama ‘Growing Up?

Well, I’ll be blogging more about about Singapore’s favourite family. The “Tan’s” from ‘Under One Roof’! I bet no other local comedy show will ever beat the first-ever local family comedy show. Then again, I’ll give ‘Phua Chu Kang’ the second placing because both were just as good only thing was that ‘Under One Roof’ came first.

I still miss these classic sitcoms. It reminded me so much of my childhood and those trends that happened around that era. GAWD! Just take a look at their clothing. TSK TSK TSK. And the language… Only a Singaporean can understand what they’re talking about. 😉 I shan’t blog more, but i’ll leave you a little reminder of our favourite family sitcom.

An American Crime

As per usual, I’ve immersed into Hollywood for films that would entertain me during the holidays. I thought maybe a good Ellen Page movie would be able to do the job. And from there is where I came across of such a heinous crime film.

Based on a true crime case happened in 1965. The brutal beatings on 16 year-old Sylvia Likens.

Sylvia was left together with her sister under the care of Gertrude Baniszewski since her parents were busy with their work in the carnival.

I wouldn’t want to give away too much but I’ll just say that her stay with the Baniszewski family was not a pleasant one.

What was much more worse was that not even did the woman abused her, she even allowed her children to do so. So-called ‘teaching Sylvia lesson’ for the misdeeds that she has been accused of.

The picture shown on the left is the real-life Sylvia Likens.

The movie depicts the courtroom drama about Sylvia’s murder. Though it was rather accurate it still did not tell the WHOLE story. I was curious and I wanted to know more about the case.

This article is the closest I could find about the murder of Sylvia Likens. It is sad to know that people still choose to ignore the obvious untill the damage done would be too late.
